SIMPLE STEPS TO DOWNLOAD AND USE OFFLINE GOOGLE MAPS UP TO 6 CITIES

Saving map in 6.22 and upward version of of Google map on Android:

Each of the offline maps are roughly about 10 MByte. So if you are planning to save maps of large area in several overlapping parts, then we recommend to do it with a Wi-Fi connection, as it will be cheaper.

Follow these steps.
  1. Open Google Maps and sign in to your Google account.
  2. Search for the place using the search box and then zoom or pan to select the area.
  3. Tap on the menu button.
  4. Select "Your Places Tab" scroll to the bottom and click on "Download a new offline area" 
  5. Select the "Download a new offline area"  to save the selected area of the map.


Viewing the offline map:
To check the saved map you don’t need any internet connection. But you won’t be able to use any online features this time. To view the previously saved maps-
  1. Tap on the menu button.
  2. Select Your places.
  3. Scroll down to Offline Maps and you’ll see the View all and manage option. Tap on it and you’ll see the list of all saved maps.
